Collection of SUNG JU reflected the designer's desire to explore his identity and find his visual therapy for a boy who was confused and sentimental. The works exploring the shape of architecture, installations, sculptures, and the structure of clothing through personal experience are recombined and expressed in contemporary silhouettes. The core element of his collection focuses on the silhouette of a Korean melon (called 'Chamwoe' in Korean) that shares the designer's name "SUNG JU," which he was teased during childhood. It was used in whole or in part, the collection is purely applied. The resulting outcome of SUNG JU's techwear is obvious and delicate.
